A Sankey diagram is a visualization tool to show the flow of data from one state to another.[1] In building energy modeling Sankey diagrams are useful for convey how energy flows from sources to end uses in the building, and beyond. Utilizing this type of visual is helpful to communicate components of building energy use or load that is having large or small impacts to the overall consumption or demand.
